On 11 April Prof. Till Becker from the University of Applied Sciences of Emden/Leer held a guest lecture on Text Mining for automating Business processes in SMEs. 15 participants of the SME 4.0 project from University of Bolzano and Chiang Mai University as well as external companies and researchers participated on site and online and discussed possibilities and potentials of AI and Machine Learning for SMEs.
Guest Researcher from Chiang Mai University at the Free University of Bolzano
From 17 March to 19 April Dr. Salinee Santiteerakul, Dr. Chompoonoot Kasemset and Dr. Tinnakorn Phongthiya from Industrial Engineering department of Chiang Mai University are visiting the Free University of Bolzano. During their stay they will work with other researchers from the UNIBZ Smart Mini Factory lab on the research project SME 4.0. A highlight of the trip was also the visit of the NOI TechnPark in the South of Bolzano, a new innovation district that focuses on key emerging technologies and their transfer to industry.
Bilateral Workshop on Human-Centred and Intelligent Manufacturing
On February 8, 2022, our colleagues from the Institute of Management Sciences from Vienna University of Technology visited us for a bilateral workshop. The research group, led by Prof. Sebastian Schlund, visited the Smart Mini Factory lab in the morning and discussed topics related to collaborative robotics as well as assistance systems in production in two parallel work sessions. Dr. Patrick Dallasega hat am 19. November 2021 die Freie Universität und das Smart Mini Factory Labor auf der Firmenmesse der TFO Bozen vertreten. Interessierte Schüler konnten sich über die Studienmöglichkeiten an der Freien Universität Bozen informieren und einen Einblick über Labors, Forschungstätigkeiten sowie Möglichkeiten für die Mitarbeit von studentischen Hilfskräften erhalten.
BIM VORTRAG – PRAXIS BAUSTELLE
BIM Fachexperte VDI Martin Martinelli (BIM Koordinator HKLS bei Mader GmbH) hat am 26.01.2022 in der Filiale Mader in Bruneck einen Fachvortrag zu BIM und die praktische Anwendung fĂĽr die angehenden Vorarbeiter der Berufsschule Bruneck abgehalten.
