TFO students build robot for the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory

The students Klaus Lechthaler, Julian Kompatscher and Jakob Amort built a parallel robot for the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory under the leadership of Prof. Erich Wehrle from the University of Bolzano and Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Seebacher from the TFO Max Valier. The parallel robot is to be used in future for exercises with students for programming and controlling robotic systems. The students independently carried out the mechanical design of the system and the simulation of the strength and rigidity of the components. In addition, the complete mechanics were assembled by the students themselves. The project was presented to the public audience last Friday 11 May at the Open Day of the TFO Max Valier. We thank the student team and the TFO very much for their great and professional work and for the kind collaboration!
