The Smart Mini Factory Laboratory works in close contact with industry to ensure the transfer of research results to industry and to align research topics with the requirements of the local industrial environment.
Industrial companies can work with the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory in several ways:
CONTRACT RESEARCH
Companies that have a specific and individual need for research can gain from the competencies in the laboratory or the available laboratory equipment in the form of contract research. Interested companies who would like to make use of this service can contact the respective thematic contact person or the laboratory manager.
PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH PROGRAMMES
Companies that are looking for project partners from universities and research for the joint submission of third-party-funded projects on the subject of Industry 4.0 in research funding programmes such as INTERREG, EU H2020, EFFRE or other programmes are welcome to contact the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory.
INDUSTRY SEMINARS
Companies that want to qualify their employees in the direction of Industry 4.0 can take advantage of the advanced training offered by the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory. Every year the laboratory offers a series of different seminars and summer schools on specific topics relating to the application of Industry 4.0 methods and technologies in manufacturing, assembly and construction.
SPONSORSHIP OF PHD STUDENT POSITIONS
Companies can also sponsor/finance PhD student positions on specific research topics and thus make a contribution to the development of qualified specialists and at the same time benefiting from the work in research. The duration for financing a PhD student position is 3 years.
