On Friday 3 May 2019, managers from EOS Solutions, leading Microsoft Dynamics provider in Italy, visited the Smart Mini Factory of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. The Smart Mini Factory team presented and demonstrated the Industry 4.0 technologies available in the laboratory to the participants and informed them about future plans for the expansion of digital networking in the laboratory. In the following discussions, the cooperation between EOS Solutions and the Smart Mini Factory was confirmed by CEO and EOS founder Günther Lobis as well as laboratory manager Dr. Erwin Rauch. As an IT partner for ERP and Business Intelligence, EOS Solutions will support digital networking in the laboratory using Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Power BI in order to communicate the potential of digital data integration to students and experts from industry.
Also present at the meeting were representatives from the Interreg Italia-Austria project „Engineering Education 4.0“ (E-EDU 4.0 for short), which deals with the expansion of training and further education offerings within the framework of Industry 4.0 through Industry 4.0 trainings in the Smart Mini Factory.
